ABOUT
Founded in 1988 by Lawrence Newton, we have expanded beyond our Birmingham, Alabama roots to serve our customers across North America.
Based in Duluth, Georgia, SBP operates as a national distribution platform. We are the critical link in the value chain between manufacturers of specialty products and customers. SBP offers sales, marketing and logistics solutions that bring a wide range of specialty building products to dealers serving the repair, remodel and new construction marketplaces.
Our customer base is made up of 15,000+ local lumber yards, building supply dealers, and home improvement retailers who in turn serve the professional remodelers, home builders, general contractors, and DIY’ers in their local communities. We sell best-in-class products from manufacturers such as Trex, James Hardie, Pacific WoodTech, and Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP). Our customers include local, regional and national building material dealers and home improvement retailers.
We have experienced a tremendous amount of growth as a company. This growth has not only served our customer base, but has also provided significant advancement opportunities for our employees.

Every SBP operating location is strategically located and fully staffed with a seasoned management team, an experienced sales force, and a dedicated operational team.
With more than 5,500 employees across 63 locations, our network includes more than 23.5 million square feet of warehouse and storage capacity, we can maintain deep inventory levels and provide consistent product availability to our customers.
